OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT IGNITE

When an electric stove won’t ignite, first be sure the appliance power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light for gas models. If the oven power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is on in the oven, then another part will need to be replaced. The reason for the problem might be the surface element, infinite switch, igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove that does not produce heat won’t do much. An oven doesn’t heat if there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner won’t fire up if an element is broken or if the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We are able to repair these problems in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken if the timer or program functions don’t work. In this case, we know how to repair control panels for LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on all of the control panels and manufacturer parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the oven heat is extremely hot, it might be because of a broken thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians can diagnose the cause of the problem and then fix it. Always be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but will not light. The reason this occurs is from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We determine whether we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning types of ovens can have door problems. The door doesn’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We monitor the door latch, thermostat and seal to identify why the door does not open up and then complete the repair so we can put an end to the problem.
